Design Integration Group
The Design Integration Group North America (NA) comprises of a skilled team of Design Managers, Design Engineers, Program Managers, Product Development roles and guides in Engineering and Architecture. Our collective expertise is harnessed to create customized adaptations of the forefront Vantage Data Center prototype that perfectly cater to the unique requirements of our customers. Throughout this process, close collaboration takes place with Sales, Operations, and management teams. The Design team also maintains a close partnership with the Construction team, working together to craft a seamlessly integrated design that ensures the efficient execution of new and existing standards and designs.

The Design team guides the development and operation of best-in-class data centers for hyperscale customers by providing business-minding Design and Engineering expertise.
Position Overview
This role can be based at any of our Vantage locations in the United States.
Vantage is hiring a Senior Vice President, Design Integration NA, to take responsibility for controlling the design process across all sites within the NA portfolio. The role involves improving the design development cycle of existing and new developments in the NA regions, reviewing the design development process, coordinating with design-build contractor teams, and implementing cost reduction strategies. The Senior Vice President will work with design managers to monitor and control changes during the development process and will be the point of contact for various function leaders to ensure the product is delivered with the highest quality, maintaining costs and schedules. Regular collaboration with other leaders of Vantage development regions and the Engineering team is necessary to ensure consistency of product delivery. As the Senior Vice President, the successful candidate will lead the development of design packages, implement "Safety in Design" principles for all active projects, consolidate lessons learned, and work closely with partners in selecting local and global design development experts. They will also manage third-party consultants and audit construction sites to ensure quality builds are delivered consistently. The Senior Vice President will report to NA leadership on a weekly basis and drive design process improvement while managing risks and priorities. The role requires knowledge of all aspects of design development related to state-of-the-art data centers. Essential Job Functions
Strategic Leadership; Define and execute the design vision and roadmap aligned with business growth, sustainability goals, and evolving customer needs.
Design Innovation; Champion cutting-edge design methodologies, modular construction, and automation to optimize speed-to-market and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration; Partner with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Real Estate, and Sustainability teams to ensure seamless integration of design into the full lifecycle of data center development.
Standardization & Scalability; Develop and maintain global design standards, templates, and playbooks to ensure consistency, quality, and repeatability across regions.
Drive consistent product development feedback loop back to Global Innovation and Chief Product Officer team for continuous leading edge product solutions
Develop and execute strategies to accelerate the development of design packages, and ensure the implementation of "Safety in Design" principles for all active projects.
Develop and consolidate lessons learned to improve the design development process.
Participate in the selection of local and global partners for design development and manage third-party consultants to deliver value engineering analysis.
Partner with Construction Services to ensure streamlined processes, and consolidate approved changes throughout the design and construction stages.
Coordinate with design managers to provide guidance and address potential risks.
Partner with Solutions Architecture and Engineering at early stages of opportunity pursuit to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Support the New Site Development team with data center design strategies and deliverables.
Foster collaboration between design and construction teams, and support procurement team with identification of tender package SOW, proposals review, awarding, and submittals validation.
Lead value engineering and optimization across NA and ensure consistency of TCO throughout design, construction, and operations.
Conduct Lessons Learned meetings to provide feedback and lead implementation of approved items.
Travel to data center sites and build relationships with project teams and Vantage partners.
Engage with other internal management teams and attend project milestone design review meetings.
Coordination with global and cross functional teams to provide feedback for iterative requirements, guidelines, and template updates.
Participation with global design center of excellence to share lessons learned
Drive implementation of Innovation Engineering products on active and future project designs
Assure that customer requirements are met in designs by coordination with solutions engineering, inform the business of any associated potential risks
Educate construction and engineering teams on new and emerging technologies
Partner with the internal MEP, OFCI, and Cx teams to address concerns within future designs
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field from an accredited university or college preferred.
Accredited engineering credentials (Chartered/Professional Engineer) are a plus.
15+ years of experience in data center design management, service delivery or equivalent managerial positions required
Data center design and construction experience are required.
Experience in NA construction markets is required.
Excellent working knowledge of a data center’s critical power, cooling, security, IT, and automation infrastructure.
Working knowledge of building and fire codes ordinances.
Travel required is expected to be up to 25%, but is flexible and negotiable

Additional Details
Salary Range: $305,000-315,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
